Women Are Shifting the World Market

Venus Factor?

... What is it and how it can improve your bottom line?

The Venus Factor may be the most powerful game changer in the last 100 years.

The Venus Factor could change this society in unbelievable ways.

The Venus Factor is demanding your attention!

We are in the NEW Age of Enlightenment! It's not coming, it's here. There has been no time in human history where so many have had access to so much information. People all around the world are asking for more out of life and I don't mean more things, I mean more meaning. Some say it is the moving of consciousness to a collective and cooperative place where "I" gives way to "We." Call it what you like, but it indeed deserves observation. Our observation is "a change in access is a change in power."

Recent studies in the automotive world reveal that women are responsible for over 65% of new car sales and 53% of used car sales. Although this is important from the standpoint of market shift, it is also important because historically an increase in mobility within a segment of a culture signals a pending advancement in power.

The implications of this market shift and the subsequent advancement in power can be a game changer and we call this shift "The Venus Factor."

We define The Venus Factor as the energy that shifts human nature and behavior to embrace cooperation, collaboration, empowerment, balance, and authenticity as the norm.

However, a simpler but no less profound understanding of The Venus Factor is seen in how women are changing our culture and society in ways that are both overt and subtle. Some changes we can measure like the market influence in the automobile industry while others changes we tend to "feel" thus making measurement difficult.

Over the last 150 years we have broken the mold on human limitations, e.g., the light bulb, the telephone, the automobile, the airplane, the computer just to name a few. In that same period, we have seen a movement toward the inclusion and celebration of women in society. The shift, in our culture and cultures around the world, has women influencing all areas of society from the classroom to the boardroom. In some cases it has gone past influence to complete power and control.

However, power in the hands of a woman from The Venus Factor point of view can yield quite different results compared to traditional power through men. I will leave that discussion to another article, but I will ask you to contemplate the difference.

Several books in print today speak to this change. Fara Warner has written a book that demonstrates most clearly The Venus Factor shift. Warner's book, "The Power of the Purse: How Smart Businesses Are Adapting to the World's Most Important Consumers - Women", uses business case studies to document the strategies used by market leaders to adapt and profit by the market shift. It will be interesting to observe how businesses over the next few years recognize and adapt to the shift and how they measure the implications beyond increased revenue and customer loyalty.

So now the real question is... will your business lead or trail this shift?
